VACATION AT POR VENIR ON OMETEPE, JANUARY 2019

EMMANUEL, YESENIA AND I TOOK SOME
TIME TO REST AT HOTEL PORVENIR
  ON OMETEPE, JANUARY
 2019

We thank God for allowing us to take some time off to rest and reflect in His beautiful nature.  This time was much needed to spend time with my son and wife away from work.

I would have to say that Hotel Por Venir has to be  my favorite amoungst
all the hotels on the Island of Ometepe, Located just over a km from
the Centre where we have the ministry, the Hotel is surrounded
by beautiful nature and great views of the Volcanoe.

About a half a km from the main road, up this winding path,
is the location of Hotel Por Venir. Yesenia, Emmanuel
and I often would hear monkeys climbing
up trees as we walked up to the hotel.

My wife, Emmanuel and I loved
the beautiful flowers, landscape and peaceful nature
which surrounds the Hotel.

Great food and service as well. We especially
loved eating under the ranchitos
which were surrounded by
beautiful flower gardens.

Here are some of the big bushes
of flowers which surrounded
the ranchitos

Emmanuel loved the flowers and nature as well. He especially enjoyed watching the squirrels jumping amoungst the bushes, flowers
and trees close by as we ate breakfast together.

I always love also seeing the view
of the volcanoe as we rested in
the hammocks.

Yesenia, for the first time in awhile
felt rested as she enjoyed nature
and as we spent time
together as a family walking
around in nature.

I really like the view of the volcanoe
as one eats where the small benches are located

Daddy and Emmanuel
spent quality time
together as I
am helping him
get accustomed to
the water

We went 2 or 3 times
to the water eye this time to swim

Emmanuel now also loves to go
horse back riding

During our holiday in January 2019. This will
be Emmanuels second trip where he
went horse back riding on the Island

He loved riding the horse so much the first
time, we decided to go riding all the way to
the beach front. Over an hours ride!

Daddy and Emmanuel
came back exhausted after
walking comming back
from the beach. Especially
Daddy because Daddy had to
walk with Emmanuel!

Due to very few tourists visiting the Island,
the hotel did not have enough food
for the 3 meals, so we had to
eat at the Centre for lunch and supper.

We brought food from Managua
in case of shortages of food on the Island.

It was a good opportunity to make sure
that things were in order at the Centre. Yesenia and
I made sure that the plants were watered
and things were left clean.

I finally was able to find the lights
I needed on this trip and had the chance to hang
them up on one of the main beams.

The lights most definitely made things
a lot easier this time for cooking
and working

Yesenia, Emmanuel and I thank God for His goodness to us!
He has blessed us richly, especially in giving us this time
together as family to rest and spend time together.
